Kiesha, Katsares, APRN

Ignite Health LLC was founded by Kiesha Katsares, Autonomous Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, in 2024. As an autonomous adult nurse practitioner, I provide direct primary care and medical weight loss services via telemedicine. With over 30 years of healthcare experience, I noticed one common theme among my patients with chronic disease, obesity. Having worked in medical intensive care units, private practice, oncology, neurosurgery and healthcare insurance, I realized that most chronic diseases were a direct result of our lifestyle and nutrition.

My healthcare career began in 1991 as a certified nursing assistant in an inpatient rehab facility. I received my Associates in Nursing degree in 1996 and began working as a registered nurse in a medical intensive care unit, followed by oncology. In 2005, I received my Master’s degree in Nursing and began work as an advanced practice registered nurse in Neurosurgery, followed by healthcare insurance completing health risk assessments. I became an autonomous nurse practitioner in 2024. Lifestyle and nutrition is a very important component in my life. I am an avid runner and have completed more than 8 marathons. I also follow a plant-based diet. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and labradoodle, Piper and love to travel. I am a proud member of the Florida Obesity Society, Obesity Medical Association, Obesity Action Coalition, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Florida Association of Nurse Practitioners, Florida Nurse Practitioner Network and American Association of Nurse Practitioners. I have completed over 60 hours of obesity medicine continuing education. I received my Certificate of Advanced Education in Obesity Medicine in 2024 from the Obesity Medical Association.

With semaglutide and tirzepatide you will begin the first 4 weeks of treatment at a starting dose. Your medication dose will be gradually increased every month, as necessary and tolerated for weight loss or until a maintenance dose is achieved. You may also continue the same lower dose if it is working well for you. Many patients lose weight at lower doses.

These medications must be refrigerated at all times.

Ignite Health LLC works exclusively with a fully accredited (PCAB) and NCPA sterile pharmacy which utilizes no sodium salt for compounds. Drug compounding is a process of combining, mixing and altering medication ingredients to tailor to the needs of an individual patient. Compounding drugs are not FDA approved. I have reviewed the current API sourcing and outsourcing vendor validation with the pharmacies I work with. They have confirmed 3rd party testing on API and batching and have supplied me with a copy of their certificate of analysis.
